CW vs Kelly

Same hear. Only heard the crowd if it was a blowout and on the sidelines. Now, being a QB, I did hear Northwoods loud band as a freshman on my first start. What a PITA they were that day.

There was one game I remember hearing the crowd it was at Clintwood my Sr. year vs Coeburn (back when they were good) at the endzone near the hillside....I rember the noise becouse you could not hear the count and had to watch the ball

Anyone have an idea why Clintwood requested UVA-wise's Band to come to the norton/cwood game to play as a "pep" for clintwood....to me thats gonna add a problem to the seating/crowd..as if it wasn't already gonna be a problem...

IMO, we can do just fine without a band..and i'm sure 1/4 of the band of UVA-Wise is from Norton....It just don't make sense to me..

I don't know why they asked for UVAW's band, but I do know that if they really wanted a band there, all of the other local schools bands will be busy. Not only that but with the exceptions of Norton and PV, the rest of the bands aren't too good. So, to hear some good music to get the crowd going, I guess the college band would be the way to go. Also, and I'm sure many fans will agree to this, especially old Kelly fans, a band, a good band, adds a lot to the atmosphere at a ballgame. The people have fun, the cheerleaders have fun, and what better way than music to keep you pumped up.

I see your point, but your not gonna be able to find a seat nor a place to stand..I guess thats why some places are selling tickets early incase they run out of room for ppl to stand/sit/squat/lay..etc

You're kidding???????? All those people coming to that game and you are right, a band that could care less about who they play for. I also have to ask?????? Why the hell do we need a pep band??? That is one of the dumbest things I have ever heard of.
I hope they put them in the corner stands please and save the seats that are facing the field for the TRUE Greenwave and Raider fans.
If they sit them on the Clintwood side, I would be pissed. All those fans coming to the games and filling up the seats and expressing their loyalty, then, they show up Friday night and have to see "strangers."
I had better quit. I could rant on and on about this. Damn that is stupid.

I would think that down on the end would be where they would sit,
that is where the other bands sits.

I hope so..........away and in the corner. A pep band?? The LPD championship on the line.....two teams that have been to the state championship the last 4 years and you need a pep band to get you inspired???

that is where other bands sit...But you do realize that UVA-Wise band is double, heck, maybe triple of what any HS band in the area is don't ya?..its gonna take away possibly a 1/3 of the seats on the home side if they sit them there..
